PSR 14G 2.2/2.0 BLACK Most "straight gauge" (championship level) spokes are 14g (2.0mm) at the head, then 14g (2.0mm) all the way to the thread. (Often referred to as a "standard" 14g spoke) The PSR+ Standard has all those standard features, but improves things by adding a very short 2.2mm butted section at the spoke head to strengthen it at this high load area. In both real world and laboratory testing, this has proven to strengthen the spoke at this crucial point by 4 times over a regular (non PSR+) spoke. All of this with no weight penalty.
